Denise Rushing, Founder and Principal
Denise Rushing is passionate about creating a just and sustainable economy that works for everyone. She has been empowering organizational and cultural transformation for over thirty years as an author, environmental engineer, business development consultant, organic grower and ecological designer. She founded Tactical Partners to help entrepreneurs develop and grow environmentally and socially beneficial businesses.
Denise Rushing's career as an innovative executive and senior management consultant spans two decades and includes a number of energy technology start-ups: eMeter corporation as Vice President of Marketing, Sage Systems as the Vice President of Business Development and CellNet Data Systems: first as Director of Sales and later as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Prior to 1996, She held a variety of leadership positions at Pacific Gas and Electric Company in San Francisco, including Director of Energy Efficiency where she launched the Company’s award-winning energy efficiency programs, and later served as the Manager of New Product Development.
Ms. Rushing is an engineering graduate of Stanford University where she studied alternative energy and environmental science. She holds a Master's Degree in Humanities from Holy Names University and is currently serving as County Supervisor for California’s Lake County.
